An Archer’s Guide to Saving Money at The Vegas Shoot

Las Vegas can feel expensive, but the Vegas Shoot is in the perfect spot to enjoy the Strip without overspending. By walking instead of ridesharing, planning meals and snacks wisely, and taking advantage of nearby budget-friendly spots, you can make your trip fun and affordable

Budget-Friendly Eats Near the Hotels

The mid-Strip location means you’re surrounded by convenient, affordable food options. Directly outside Horseshoe and steps from Paris is the Grand Bazaar Shops, a promenade filled with quick-service counters offering pizza slices, burgers, tacos, and casual Asian dishes. These spots are perfect for groups: everyone can pick what they like without waiting for full-service restaurants.

For a bit more variety, a short walk takes you to the Miracle Mile Shops, an indoor mall inside Planet Hollywood with fast-casual restaurants and take-out options that are much more budget-friendly than typical Strip dining.

A helpful tip: make lunch your largest meal. Many places serve similar portions at midday prices, and dinner menus often cost more for the same dishes. Sharing meals is another easy way to save.

Snacks and Drinks on a Budget

Long event days mean having snacks, drinks, and coffee on hand to keep energy up without overspending. Right outside Horseshoe and a short walk from Paris, the Grand Bazaar Shops is perfect for grabbing granola bars, fruit, bottled water, pretzels, or quick handheld meals. The nearby Walgreens or CVS is ideal for stocking up on essentials at regular retail prices, which saves you from paying resort markups later in the day. Several convenient coffee options are within a short walk of the hotels including The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Corsa Coffee LV, and Capital One Café.

For adults wanting an occasional drink, some bars in the promenade area offer late-afternoon happy hour specials, and Casino Royale is a nearby budget-friendly spot for beer or simple cocktails.

Free and Low-Cost Things to Do

One of the biggest perks of staying near the event is that many classic Vegas attractions are free. The Fountains of Bellagio runs throughout the afternoon and evening, and you can enjoy the show without leaving the sidewalk. Paris’s exterior and plaza make for fantastic photos, and walking the Strip itself is an activity full of people-watching and iconic sights.

A short walk north brings you to the LINQ Promenade, where street performers and live music pop-ups create a lively, family-friendly atmosphere. For a classic Vegas experience on a budget, consider a short bus ride to the Fremont Street Experience, where overhead light shows and free entertainment make for an exciting night out.

 Extra Budget Tips

  • Use Caesars Rewards (Free!) – Paris, Horseshoe, and Planet Hollywood all participate in this program. Even minimal play or dining on property can earn credits, discounts, or future offers.

  • Walk whenever possible — most major attractions on the mid-Strip are within easy walking distance. When you want to travel a little further, rideshare or bus services are often more economical than expensive taxis.

  • Pack snacks, refillable water bottles, and a travel coffee maker — essential for families and long event days. You could also just make a quick stop at a nearby drugstore or shop to stock up.
