The Turkish compound archer beat a shoot-off field of 96 archers who had scored 300 on Day 2.

Batuhan had shot 299 on the first day, but was eligible for the shoot-off after shooting clean today – and will take home a huge reward. The first arrow of the $10k shootdown must be a standard X, but any subsequent arrows have to be 'inside out' tens. (For this reason many archers switch to 'skinny' arrows, in order not to catch the line). After three ends, the field was narrowed to two archers, India's Abishek Verma and Akcaoglu. One more end was enough to secure the prize. "My hands are still shaking, I don't believe I've won this yet but I guess it's real. I can't believe it. It is perfect." he said afterwards. The 29-year-old Akcaoglu is the current world number 11 and has won medals with Turkiyë's national compound team.
The Vegas Shoot resumes tomorrow with the final qualification round in Championship divisions and the second day of Flights, plus the Lucky Dog shoot-off.
