Vegas week also sees multiple satellite competitions in partnership with S3DA, USA Archery, NASP, Break The Barriers and more.

Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at the Vegas Shoot see a series of competitions for state and national archers, with a focus on youth. (These are run by their respective organisations, rather than the NFAA, but using the facilities for the main Vegas Shoot.)
The NASP (National Archery In The Schools Program) has been part of Vegas week for many years. Adam Cavanagh of the NASP was helping with the Nevada state tournament that was held on the first day. Part of PE and after-school programs, all archers use the same kind of Genesis beginner compound bow, a simple 20lb max compound which has no let off on the draw. “It can be used by all kinds of athletes, from the smallest to someone six foot four," he said.
"The NFAA has helped the Nevada Dept. Of Wildlife put on the NASP tournament for probably the last fifteen years. They make it happen for all the kids."

Brittany Salonen-Geuther of the NFAA said: "Part of the magic of
Vegas is that it's bringing all archers together. We're bringing different organizations and partner organizations in the archery industry together for one big event. We're exposing some of those different organizations to the NFAA style of archery and a big tournament, and they get to be a part of it, especially the NASP."
"They get to come in as just like regular middle school elementary kids and watch Olympians and the best archers in the world. Over the years, they have grown from one state then two states and now the NASP reaches millions of kids."

S3DA is an after-school program focusing on 3D, indoor and outdoor target archery and ethical bowhunting, with a focus on encouraging families to participate. "It's the same with S3DA, we've supported them since they were in just like one or two states." said Brittany. "They come in and they use our event space, something that they would not be able to afford on their own." "For our indoor nationals we've also in the past worked with Kentucky state NASP and then we also work with NASP on a national level, we also work with them for other events throughout the year," said Brittany. "We're working together towards the same goal."
