The Vegas Shoot 2019 closes registration with 3,767 entries

The Vegas Shoot has set another official entry record with 3,767 total archers registered to take to the shooting line this weekend in its 53rd year.

Shooters have come from across the 50 states and 49 other countries.

Compound, recurve, barebow, crossbow and bowhunter archers will compete across 27 divisions, with the compound flights being the biggest at 1,316 total registrations.

The popular Compound Open Championship division features 270 shooters, all men, competing for the grand prize of $53,000.

Since the division became open to both compound men and women in 2017, only Colombian woman Sara Lopez has taken the challenge to compete with the men. She finished 77th, two points away from the shoot off with 898 that first year.

The Recurve Flights will have 399 archers going for the top $2,000 USD prize, while the Bowhunter Flight entries come to 316, male and female combined, going for the top $1,750 USD prize.

You can follow The Vegas Shoot results live from February 8 to February 10 on info.ianseo.net and The Vegas Shoot app.

The Vegas Shoot, the largest indoor archery tournament in the world, takes place on February 8-10, 2019 at the South Point Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
