  • What is bow storage?
Bow Storage is a convenient way for you to store your bow near the competition halls. The hotels are large and can become crowded during our event. Bow storage gives you the option of leaving your equipment in a secure location while you check out the trade show, grab a meal, or play the tables. An Event Bow Storage Pass costs $20.00 for the entire weekend. When traveling between hotel properties, attendees are required to use bow cases. Both the Horseshoe and Paris will provide bow storage areas, allowing archers to travel easily with their equipment between storage, practice, and competition areas. You are not required to purchase a bow storage pass before arriving, but it is recommended for express access.
  • What are the rules and guidelines for transporting and storing bows during the event?
For the safety and convenience of all hotel guests and hotel staff, bows must be securely cased at all times when outside of designated shooting venues. This includes traveling through hotel lobbies, casinos, elevators, and hotel room floors. Both the Horseshoe and Paris properties will offer designated bow storage areas, allowing archers to safely store their equipment and transport it between storage, practice, and competition locations. If you prefer not to use these storage areas, you are welcome to travel back and forth with your bow in its case. We are working closely with property management and security teams to finalize the equipment handling plan for the event. Detailed instructions will be shared with all attendees prior to the event. If any specialized cases or additional equipment are required or permitted outside of standard bow cases, they will be provided or made available onsite. Your cooperation is appreciated to ensure a smooth and secure experience for everyone.

  • I booked my airline ticket and it conflicts with my assigned line time, what should I do?
We recommend that you attempt to change your airline flight. We understand that there is the possibility of several line times ranging from 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM and it adds guesswork to your travel arrangements. Please do not assume that the time you were assigned last year will be the same this year. When making airline arrangements, leave open the possibility of being assigned the earliest or latest line time each day. We cannot change your line time. We apologize for this inconvenience.

If you want to practice and don’t have a practice pass, the cost is $5.00 for a target and single entry. A 24-Hour FastLane Practice Pass is $60.00 and works just the same as a Disney World fast pass. With the FastPass, you get exclusive access to the FastPass line for shorter wait times. This is especially useful during peak times. This pass includes the same benefits as the 24-Hour Practice Pass. AlL Championship divisions include a VIP All-Access pass which provides entry to the VIP practice & bow storage area + access to 24-hour practice and regular bow storage. Don't forget that each line during competition begins with two official practice ends. The purchase of a practice pass is not required to shoot the tournament.
  • How do I know my line time?
Shooting Group assignments for Day 1 and 2 will be available the week prior to the event. Each archer will be assigned a Shooting Group. Each Shooting Group will have a scheduled shooting time for Day 1 and Day 2. In order to make the shooting times fair, the times will rotate. For example, if your Shooting Group is assigned the 7:00 AM line on Day 1; you will be assigned the 2:30 PM line on Day 2. Target assignments will stay the same for Day 1 and Day 2. View the Schedule page for details. Since Day 3 assignments are based on Day 1 and Day 2 scores, they cannot be completed until after the last shooting line is finished and verified on Day 2. Once the scores are collected and verified, the scoring team will assign shooters based on division and score. This allows all archers to shoot aside their closest competitors. The process of flighting will take a few hours due to the high volume of divisions and archers in the Flights Divisions. Please be patient. Archers will be notified as soon as possible via email, and assignments will be posted on the official Vegas Shoot mobile app. There are several ways to find up-to-date information on your shooting time and target assignment: 1. In the week prior to the event, you will receive an email with your shooting time information. Double-check your spam/junk folder as these messages are automatically filtered sometimes. You will receive another email with your final shooting assignment and target number on the Wednesday immediately before the event. You can use this information to practice on your exact target assignment during your Official Practice time; reference the Schedule for this information. 2. The scoring team publishes all assignments on the Live Results page and on the official Vegas Shoot mobile app. Archers can view shooting time and target assignments for all participants. These links also provide live updates on scoring. 3. Final shooting time and target assignments will be printed and posted on the announcement board located next to the registration desk. The announcement board will also hold daily results, announcements, and schedules.

  • I registered for the wrong division! How do I change that?
Please submit a ticket via the Contact Us page. Include your full name, current division, and the updated division. We will contact you if a refund or additional charge is necessary.

  • What are the Flight divisions?
The Flight divisions are open to all archers who are at least 12 years old. For the first part of the event, participants in each equipment category compete together; no matter their age, skill level, or experience. The Vegas Shoot has Flight divisions for the following equipment categories: Compound, Recurve, Bowhunter, Recurve Barebow, and Compound Barebow. After archers have shot for score, each Flight Division is split into a series of "flights". A "flight" is a grouping of archers within the Flight division who are only competing against one another rather than the entire division. Each "flight" in the tournament consists of archers who are similar in skill level, based on their scores from that event. It is at the discretion of tournament management when and how Flight divisions are broken into their "flights". The score used for determining "flights" can be any combination of all three days of competition. The number of archers per "flight" is based on total participation and ties. It is most common to split the divisions into "flights" of 25-40 people prior to day 3 of competition. This is not guaranteed, and the scores used to determine the "flight" varies. For example, scores from day 1 and 2 may be combined OR they may extract ends 1-5 of only day 2. The possibilities are endless! This varies so archers are not prone to fixing their scores to enter a certain "flight". Once archers are in their "flight", they can only move positions within their flight. If you post an awesome or poor score after the "flights" are created, you cannot move up or down "flights". After day 3, cash prizes are awarded to places 1-8 in every "flight", unless participation numbers in that division are low. View the Payouts for each Flight division.
  • How are the flights determined?
Flights are determined at the discretion of tournament management. The score used for determining flights can be any combination of all three days of competition. The number of archers per flight is based on total participation and ties.
  • What is the Indoor World Series?
Following day 3 of the world-famous Vegas Shoot, the top sixteen World Series (formerly World Cup) point earners from each category will shoot off in head-to-head competition in front of a roaring Vegas crowd. To qualify for the Las Vegas Indoor World Series Final, archers must participate in at least two of the stages scheduled, one of which must be The Vegas Shoot. The archers with the most accumulated points will compete head-to-head at the Horseshoe Event Center for their chance at the gold medal matches, shot at the PH Live theater at Planet Hollywood on Sunday. World Archery rules apply for the Indoor World Series Finals event. For additional information about the World Series, please visit www.worldarchery.org.
