Korea’s So Chaewon and Colombia’s Sara Lopez became the fourth and fifth women to ever shoot a perfect 900 points after the three days of competition at The Vegas Shoot 2019.
Mary Hamm first did it in 2004, Sarah Lance followed in 2014 and the most recent was Tanja Jensen in 2017.
“I'm really proud and happy because this proofs how well the women are shooting. I think the main goal is to prove that we can shoot 900 with the guys,” said Sara.
In 2017, when the Compound Open Championship division became open to both men and women, Lopez was the only woman to take the challenge. She finished two points down that year with 898.
Chaewon also became the first Korean to ever shoot perfect in Vegas, while Sara shared the honor for Colombia here with Seb Arenas.
“This is my fourth Vegas Shoot, my first 300s, and also my first 900, so I'm really happy,” said Chaewon.
Her teammate Choi Bomin came close with 898 and will shoot against Linda Ochoa-Anderson, Alexis Ruix, Alexandra Savenkova and Sarah Prieels for the third place in the Compound Women Championship division.
