The most prestigious archery tournament in the world, offering over $500,000 in prizes and giveaways. The Vegas Shoot attracts novice to Olympic archers from around the Globe and includes 3- intense days of no error competition. The weekend competition includes the traditional 3-spot 20-yard “Vegas Round” that made this tournament famous. Attendance is expected to reach over 4,000 archers and thousands more spectators.
The Vegas Shoot first took place in 1962 as the Colt-Sahara NFAA Championships. In 2016, we celebrated its 50th occurance.
Through the years, The Vegas Shoot has had many names, locations, format changes, target faces, and champions. One thing has always remained the same; it is the most anticipated and iconic archery tournament of the year.
To learn more about The Vegas Shoot (and its many other names!) visit the History page.
The Vegas Shoot is now held at two neighboring Caesars Entertainment Properties, Paris Las Vegas and Horseshoe Las Vegas, in the heart of the Las Vegas strip. The physical address is: 3645 Las Vegas Blvd S, Las Vegas, NV 89109. Rooms are available at a special rate for archery attendees. View Accommodations information.

You can view the onsite schedule on the official Vegas Shoot event app, available at no cost to IOS and Android users.
All Championship Compound Open, Championship Compound Female, Championship Recurve Male & Championship Recurve Female participants may be subject to testing in accordance with the World Anti-Doping Code and the World Archery Anti-Doping Rules. Failure to comply with the Anti-Doping rules shall result in disqualification and forfeiture of any cash prizes.
All other divisions are exempt from Anti-Doping testing.
View full Anti-Doping Rules at the bottom of the Rules page.
Check-in for vendors will be located at the entrance of the Horseshoe Grand Ballroom on Tuesday and Wednesday. You will receive your badge and vendor information upon check-in. To reserve your vendor spot at The Vegas Shoot, visit our Vendor Registration page.
Check-In will be located in both Horseshoe and Paris. View the Schedule page for official check-in times.
Bow Storage is a convenient way for you to store your bow near the competition halls. The hotels are large and can become crowded during our event. Bow storage gives you the option of leaving your equipment in a secure location while you check out the trade show, grab a meal, or play the tables. An Event Bow Storage Pass costs $20.00 for the entire weekend.
When traveling between hotel properties, attendees are required to use bow cases. Both the Horseshoe and Paris will provide bow storage areas, allowing archers to travel easily with their equipment between storage, practice, and competition areas. You are not required to purchase a bow storage pass before arriving, but it is recommended for express access.
For the safety and convenience of all hotel guests and hotel staff, bows must be securely cased and/or covered at all times when outside of designated shooting venues. This includes traveling through hotel lobbies, casinos, elevators, and hotel room floors.
To make things easy, we’re giving every archer a soft bow cover in your welcome bag! You’ll get a recurve cover (for recurve shooters) or a compound cover (for compound shooters) in your welcome/goody bag. These covers are designed to go over your bow while it’s set up (minus any long stabilizers) so you can move through the hotels hassle-free. Both hotels are big properties in the middle of the city, with a mix of archers and non-archers staying. This keeps things smooth for everyone. Additionally, both the Horseshoe and Paris properties will offer designated bow storage areas, allowing archers to safely store their equipment and transport it between storage, practice, and competition locations. If you prefer not to use these storage areas, you are welcome to travel back and forth using the provided bow cover or with your bow in its case.
Practice will be available in both the Horseshoe and Paris during the event. View all available practice times on the Schedule page.
Meet the Pros is a free event open to archers 17 years and under. This event is an opportunity for kids to ask the pros for advice, tips, and autographs. No pre-registration is necessary! View the event Schedule for details.
The Tradeshow is open Wednesday through Sunday. View the Schedule page for details. Download the official Vegas Shoot mobile app for a full listing of current vendors and sponsors. You can also view their websites, product categories, and booth location within the Tradeshow.
The Junior Awards Ceremony will be included in the Junior Appreciation Banquet on Saturday evening. More information will be released on this banquet, but the time can be found on the Schedule. All 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in the Junior divisions should plan to attend. Photos will be taken by an event photographer and will be available upon request. Additional details for 2025 coming soon!
Winners are encouraged, but not required, to attend the ceremony. Medals will be mailed to the registration address if you are unable to attend.
We recommend that you attempt to change your airline flight. We understand that there is the possibility of several line times ranging from 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM and it adds guesswork to your travel arrangements. Please do not assume that the time you were assigned last year will be the same this year. When making airline arrangements, leave open the possibility of being assigned the earliest or latest line time each day. We cannot change your line time. We apologize for this inconvenience.
Lost and Found is located at the registration desk in the event lobby.
If you notice a fellow archer has left something behind, please bring it to the registration desk. We try to return all items to the rightful owner.
At the end of the event, lost and found items are turned over to the hotel or packed on the NFAA trucks. Please visit the Contact Us page if you are missing a valuable item and we will do our best to assist you.
In 2017, we updated our divisions to make the names more universal. You can view the old vs. new division names under the Equipment Rules section.

3. If you need additional help determining which division is the correct one for you, contact your NFAA State Director or Sectional Councilman. They can provide specific guidelines regarding equipment and how to select your division.

If you're staying or visiting Caesars Entertainment properties, you have multiple options for parking. Read our Parking Guide HERE.
To access paid practice, you must purchase a practice pass. Passes can be purchased in advance or are available onsite at the registration desk.
A 24-Hour Standard Practice Pass is $30.00 and is valid all weekend. You can enter the 24-Hour Practice as many times as you want throughout the weekend and are provided practice targets at no additional cost. If you want to practice and don’t have a practice pass, the cost is $5.00 for a target and single entry.
The 24-Hour FastLane Practice Pass is priced at $75.00 and functions much like a Disney World FastPass. It grants exclusive access to a dedicated FastLane line for shorter wait times, especially valuable during peak hours. This pass includes all the same benefits as the standard 24-Hour Practice Pass and is limited to 400 passes to maintain premium access.
AlL Championship divisions include a VIP All-Access pass which provides entry to the VIP practice & bow storage area + access to 24-hour practice and regular bow storage.
Don't forget that each line during competition begins with two official practice ends. The purchase of a practice pass is not required to shoot the tournament.
There are many options to get from the airport to the shooting venues. For more information on this read HERE.
Shooting Group assignments for Day 1 and 2 will be available the week prior to the event. Each archer will be assigned a Shooting Group. Each Shooting Group will have a scheduled shooting time for Day 1 and Day 2. In order to make the shooting times fair, the times will rotate. For example, if your Shooting Group is assigned the 7:00 AM line on Day 1; you will be assigned the 2:30 PM line on Day 2. Target assignments will stay the same for Day 1 and Day 2. View the Schedule page for details.
Since Day 3 assignments are based on Day 1 and Day 2 scores, they cannot be completed until after the last shooting line is finished and verified on Day 2. Once the scores are collected and verified, the scoring team will assign shooters based on division and score. This allows all archers to shoot aside their closest competitors. The process of flighting will take a few hours due to the high volume of divisions and archers in the Flights Divisions. Please be patient. Archers will be notified as soon as possible via email, and assignments will be posted on the official Vegas Shoot mobile app.
There are several ways to find up-to-date information on your shooting time and target assignment:
1. In the week prior to the event, you will receive an email with your shooting time information. Double-check your spam/junk folder as these messages are automatically filtered sometimes. You will receive another email with your final shooting assignment and target number on the Wednesday immediately before the event. You can use this information to practice on your exact target assignment during your Official Practice time; reference the Schedule for this information.
2. The scoring team publishes all assignments on the Live Results page and on the official Vegas Shoot mobile app. Archers can view shooting time and target assignments for all participants. These links also provide live updates on scoring.
3. Final shooting time and target assignments will be printed and posted on the announcement board located next to the registration desk. The announcement board will also hold daily results, announcements, and schedules.

The Flight divisions are open to all archers who are at least 12 years old. For the first part of the event, participants in each equipment category compete together; no matter their age, skill level, or experience. The Vegas Shoot has Flight divisions for the following equipment categories: Compound, Recurve, Bowhunter, Recurve Barebow, and Compound Barebow.
After archers have shot for score, each Flight Division is split into a series of "flights". A "flight" is a grouping of archers within the Flight division who are only competing against one another rather than the entire division. Each "flight" in the tournament consists of archers who are similar in skill level, based on their scores from that event.
It is at the discretion of tournament management when and how Flight divisions are broken into their "flights". The score used for determining "flights" can be any combination of all three days of competition. The number of archers per "flight" is based on total participation and ties.
It is most common to split the divisions into "flights" of 25-40 people prior to day 3 of competition. This is not guaranteed, and the scores used to determine the "flight" varies. For example, scores from day 1 and 2 may be combined OR they may extract ends 1-5 of only day 2. The possibilities are endless! This varies so archers are not prone to fixing their scores to enter a certain "flight".
Once archers are in their "flight", they can only move positions within their flight. If you post an awesome or poor score after the "flights" are created, you cannot move up or down "flights". After day 3, cash prizes are awarded to places 1-8 in every "flight", unless participation numbers in that division are low. View the Payouts for each Flight division.
The Vegas Shoot serves as the final stage of the 2026 Indoor World Series. Any athlete who is a member in good standing of a World Archery member association (national archery federation) is eligible to participate. Proof of membership or license may be required.
World Archery rules apply. For additional information, please visit the World Archery website.
Payout information is listed by division and can be found on the Awards & Payouts page.
Payouts are based on the previous year’s registration. The tournament guarantees the first three places for each division will not change, but subsequent places may change based on attendance. This may be different than the published awards.
Due to the size and growth of the event, we are not able to accept shooting time and location requests. If you have special circumstances (i.e. severe health problems), please submit a Contact Us ticket and we will do our best to make accommodations.

There will not be an award ceremony for the Flight divisions.
Scholarships must be used towards higher education and are submitted directly to the eduational institution.
Ready to use your scholarship? Submit the Scholarship Request form to request your funds. Please allow 30 days for processing.
Not yet old enough for college or higher education? Not a problem! We track all scholarships until you are ready. Good news – you have more chances to win at The Vegas Shoot in the future and can add additional winnings towards your scholarship fund.
The Collegiate Scholarship program is open to all full-time students at a two- or four-year university or technical school. Current high school students are not eligible. To be eligible, collegiate student-athletes must hold a NFAA Collegiate Membership and pay the $25 collegiate add-on during event registration. Learn more about the NFAA Collegiate Program.
The scores from the first two days of competition will decide the collegiate results. Archers can participate in the Flight or Championship divisions at The Vegas Shoot, but will be ranked for collegiate purposes in divisions of Male and Female - Compound, Recurve, Bowhunter, and Recurve Barebow.
The top three student-athletes in each division will receive scholarships for use towards higher education.
Schools will also be ranked on a cumulative team score. The top score from each school in each of the equipment divisions (Compound, Recurve, Bowhunter, and Recurve Barebow - Male or Female) will be used to create the cumulative team score. The top three schools will receive travel scholarships for their team or club.
